Since 2005 Giovanni Succi (formerly Madrigali Magri) and Bruno Dorella (formerly Wolfango, currently Ronin and OvO) have been dredging the musical scene as Bachi Da Pietra (Stoneworms). With four rock-blues studio album, a live one – Insect Tracks, religiously recorded using vintage instruments only – and the split with Massimo Volume under their belts, they’re making their comeback in 2013 with Quintale, recorded and mixed fully analogically by Giulio Ragno Favero. In this interview, together with the Bachi Da Pietra, we’ll revisit the Tornare Nella Terra and Quarzo years; we’ll touch upon the band’s most iconic collaborations, their lyrics and the “makeover” that seems to be the leitmotiv of their new album: a glaring metamorphosis, even to the dumbest ear. Or not.
