Katarina Zdjelar - The Serbian Pavillon at 53 Venice Biennial 2009

The interview of a young and very appreciated artist, who at international level has tested her sensitivity for current issues such as interculturality, translation, crossing of artistic and cultural languages - Having great interest in speech and voice, I am interested in how ones act of speaking is situated in the body of a speaker who is a member of a particular community in a defined environment -  in addition to tell us her perspective and her last work, leads us to the last Art Biennal, when in 2009 Katarina Zdjelar represented, together with Zoran Todorovic, the Serbia Pavillion. This looking back enlightens us on the different ways of the international artists to attend this event and on the deep meaning of their participation. We shall do the same with the Architecture Biennal, which is launched soon and we attend in order to start new dialogues accompanying us over the year.
