| Space of emptiness, the Netherlands Embassy in Berlin, Rem Koolhaas | Rem Koolhaas and his agency, the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), create complex, mutable and seemingly disaggregated spaces, where fragmentation is preferred to integrity, dynamic fruition to contemplation, and where the distinction between interior and exterior prevails on structural sincerity. A good example of this architectural practice is the project of the Netherlands Embassy, realised in Berlin in 2003. This building was intended to occupy one of the many urban voids which characterise the city. Starting from the conception of emptiness as an architectural element, Koolhaas chose it as the generative constituent of the project. |

| In Search Of God / Intro | An article proposing a close, conjoint reading of three recently released comic books that address God.
This article comprises in three parts not counting with this introductory piece. I will address each of the books separately, but the reason they are bundled together in one breath is due to the fact that they can be united under the same roof, matter and or theme. In very different ways these comic books address the issue of God.

The first one I unwrap, as usual, is the one by Wallace. I own this to her. While unwrapping my package, I hesitate for a while. | Rosaria Iazzetta – Représentations visuelles de la Camorra | Le 14 octobre 2009, les artistes Rosaria Iazetta et Iolanda Napolitano ont présenté à travers différents média la relation entre la représentation donnée par la pop culture sur la Camorra et la vie quotidienne à Naples et la région de la Campanie. Cette présentation s’est déroulée au théâtre Siani à Naples. Dans une interview, nous avons questionné Iazetta sur ses intentions et son travail, qui depuis de nombreuses années est centré sur la manière dont la Camorra communique son pouvoir et comment les messages qu’elle véhicule peuvent être transformés en messages d’espoir et de rédemption. |
